40 years after stepping on stage for the first time, Ron Eckberg is still doing what he loves most.
A native of Walnut, Illinois, Eckberg has been performing most of his life, having acquired his love of music as a child in the 50s and more dramatically as a teenager in the 60’s. That passion led to a series of successful rock and roll bands, and an even more successful career as a solo club singer.
The direction of his life and music changed dramatically in the late 70’s as serious soul searching led him to a decision to follow Jesus Christ and to pursue a life in Christian music and ministry. Soon he was back on the road, taking his laid back style of Christian music to churches, camps, conferences, and concert stages throughout the United States.
Ron Eckberg has had a rich array of experiences. He served as Pastor of Walnut Community Bible Church in his home town for 15 years and for two years as the director of Bureau Valley Youth For Christ, working with teenagers in the Bureau Valley School district. Currently he serves as the Pastor of the Erie Evangelical Free Church in Erie, Illinois.
Ron Eckberg is a versatile writer and songwriter as well as a well respected speaker, worship leader, and entertainer. He has taken his music and message to audiences all across the United States. His concerts and conferences draw rave reviews.
Ron Eckberg brings something for everyone. Whatever your age, whatever your taste in music, wherever you may be in your life, you will enjoy this talented communicator and troubadour!
